Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Obbo collects, uses, processes, and protects your information when you use our website and mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide (name, email, profile info, prompts, and generated content), as well as automatically collected data such as IP address, device data, and usage analytics.

We also collect material you upload to be used in your content — photographs, images, artwork, logos and other brand assets, documents, and links — as described in Section 3.

Where you order a physical item, we collect the delivery details described in Section 4.

You may provide sensitive information (including health, financial, or biometric data). We do not request this information and you provide it at your own risk.

3. Material You Upload: Your Rights and the License You Grant

Parts of the service let you upload material to be used in the content we create for you — for example a photograph a character should be drawn from, a company logo, a product photo for an advertisement, or a document to be used as a source.

You represent that you own that material or otherwise hold all rights and permissions necessary to upload it and to have us use it as described in this section. That includes the permission of any identifiable person appearing in a photograph you upload, and the permission of a parent or guardian where that person is a child.

For material you upload, you grant Obbo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, process, adapt, and display that material for the purpose you submitted it for — producing, editing, storing, and delivering the content you asked us to create — and for operating, securing, supporting, and improving our products and services. That license extends to the third-party providers we use to deliver the service, such as cloud hosting and AI providers, to the extent they need it to perform that work.

We do not sell material you upload. We do not use photographs of identifiable people in our own marketing or promotional material without asking you first.

The license lasts as long as we hold the material. Deleting the material or your account ends it for future use, except for copies held in backups, logs, and records we are required to keep, and except where the material has already been incorporated into content that has been published or shared.

If you no longer hold the rights to something you uploaded, or if a rights holder tells us you never did, email hello@obbo.me and we will remove it. We may remove or decline uploaded material at any time.

4. Personal Information and Delivery Addresses

Some parts of the service ask for a postal address — for example, ordering a physical item offered inside a comic. When you place such an order we collect the name the parcel should be addressed to, the street address, city, state or region, postal code, country, an optional email address used only if the delivery fails, and what was ordered. We also store a one-way hash of the submitting IP address to limit abuse; the address itself is not kept in that record.

We use this information to fulfil, post, and keep a record of that order. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not add it to a marketing list.

We share it only with the people and companies needed to complete the order — such as printing, packing, postal, and payment providers — and only the parts of it they need. We may also disclose it where the law requires.

We keep order information while the order is outstanding, and afterwards for as long as we need it for accounting, tax, and dispute records. After that we delete it or reduce it to a record that no longer identifies you.

Access is limited to Obbo staff who need it to fulfil orders, and it is transmitted over encrypted connections.

Addresses should be submitted by an adult. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to place the order for you.

To see, correct, or delete an address you have given us, email hello@obbo.me. We may need to keep it until an order already in progress has been delivered.

5. Use of Information

We use data to operate, maintain, and improve our services, generate AI content, communicate with users, monitor performance, and prevent misuse.

6. AI Processing & Third Parties

Your data may be processed by third-party providers including cloud providers, authentication services, AI providers, and analytics tools. Providers may change at any time.

7. Data Rights & License

You grant Obbo a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your inputs and generated outputs for service operation, improvement, and promotion. For material you upload, the narrower license in Section 3 applies instead.

8. Data Retention

We retain data as long as necessary for business operations, including backups and logs.

9. User Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

You may request deletion or correction of your data where required by law. Data export may not be available.

10. Data Storage

Data is stored and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to such processing.

11. Communications

We may send service-related emails and push notifications. You may opt out where applicable.

12. Children

The service is not intended for users under 13.

13. Security

We use reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Updates

We may update this policy at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

15. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We do not use cookies for core functionality of our website or app.

However, we may use similar technologies such as local storage to support functionality and improve user experience.

We may also load resources from third-party services (such as fonts or analytics providers), which may receive limited technical information such as your IP address as part of standard web requests.

We may introduce cookies or additional tracking technologies in the future for analytics or performance monitoring. If we do, we will update this policy and, where required, request user consent.

Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for your account and all activities under it.

3. AI Content Disclaimer

All content is AI-generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. It is not intended for medical, legal, or financial use.

4. Content Rights

You may use generated content commercially. Obbo retains broad rights to all inputs and outputs.

You are responsible for everything you upload. By uploading material you confirm that you hold the rights and permissions described in Section 3 of the Privacy Policy, and you grant us the license described there.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for illegal activity, harassment, misinformation, impersonation, IP violations, or system abuse.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Obbo from any claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

7. Payments

All payments are processed via Apple. All purchases are final.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time.

9. Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for third-party services used to provide functionality.

10. Disclaimer

The service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Obbo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

All disputes shall be resolved via binding arbitration. You waive the right to participate in class actions.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, USA.

Apple App Store Terms of Use

1. Apple Compliance

Apple is not responsible for the app. Payments are handled by Apple. The license is limited and non-transferable. Apple has no obligation for maintenance or warranty. Obbo is solely responsible for support and claims.
